Paul Van Wijk
Paul Van Wijk is a certified Baptiste Yoga Teacher and a Yoga Alliance 200 Hour EYRT. Living in London Ontario, Paul is a co-founder of True North Yoga and has a passion for being of service and building community. Inspired by the work of the Africa Yoga Project and the work he has done with the Olive Tree Yoga Foundation, True North Yoga was created to help yogis with a passion for their communities bring their service projects to fruition. Having founded many succesful companies, Paul is bringing his experience, knowledge and skill in business to the world of yoga.

Sun Rising is my name, Antler River (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation) is where I'm from, and bear is my clan. I am a Paramedic, a mother, and entrepreneur. I have a lot of passions in life, and yoga is just one of them. I have been practicing yoga for years, but it was not until last fall that I became a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Olive Tree Yoga Foundation/True North Yoga not only helped me to become a yoga teacher, but they also helped me to see the potential in myself. Since that time, I have taught yoga classes in my community, and have started to create my own health consulting business. I feel my journey now it to promote self-care to my people, and live it myself.

Kim Parker
Kim Parker is a Marketing, Fundraising, and Strategic planning specialist with over 25 years not-for-profit experience. She has worked within the arts, culture, health, and social service sectors, and has facilitated workshops and board development sessions with a variety of Aboriginal groups in Canada. She is proud of her Métis heritage, and is currently writing a book on her family’s experiences in pre- and post-confederation Canada. After 4 years of personal practice, Kim is passionate about the power of yoga, and is currently obtaining her certification as a teacher.
